Kevin, Home Buyer in uk

Hi, Im looking for a holiday home with good rental potential.

Im torn between Orlando or the Indian rocks area. Im looking to possibly live in the home out of season. Ant tips or advice as im from the UK and not 100% sure on the areas (best). I know there are good deals to be had at the moment, so any help or tips would be appreciated. thanks

Hi Kevin,

Have you checked out areas other than Florida? There are many from the UK now coming to Hilton Head Island, SC. There are many holiday homes with rental potential here.

My husband is from the UK and would tell you that he much prefers South Carolina to Florida. Many of his friends and family visit us now and they love the natural beauty and the beaches here.

Happy New Year Kevin,

As owner/agent, I have a condo at the Jensen Beach Club on Hutchinson Island. Many of our residents are full time owners or seasonal renters.
It is a great potential for owners to lease seasonally and/or stay at the property and enjoy.
I had purchased it preconstruction and have had it as a rental and vacation home for our family for many years.
My husband and I after many years decided to move to Florida full time. We still lease our condo, but now find it not necessary to keep.

It is available for leasing and/or sale.

You may want to give northwest Florida a look. The area I cover is referred to by some as the "Forgotten Coast", while most people think of Disney World and Miami when they think of Florida, there is different side to Florida that keeps a lot slower pace. We have magnificent beaches, and the entire county I work in has a population of 10,000. Hi Kevin,

The fact that you are reaching out for information is a "good thing." Your uncertainty is something that could be resolved by spending some time in these and other areas. As a rental property, it is important that there is appeal to the general location. The proximity to golf courses, beaches, and social & cultural experiences are a big plus.

Hello Kevin,
It really depends on if you want to be nearer to the beach or to the theme parks.
Will you be letting the home when you aren't staying in it?
It would really be best to come over and check out the areas and see what they have to offer.

I work mainly in the Disney area for foreign nationals looking for or selling Holiday homes.
Some rent them out and others just keep them for thier friends and family to use.

Hello Kevin,

You are very right to be exploring the Orlando area for your holiday home needs. We ,over here in Orlando, are anchored by the parks and family fun, there’s really no other place that will offer such a vast variety of things to do and thus we get visitors from all around the world that have different interests. Other places are just not known as well as the central Florida area when families start to think about where they will be having their next vacation. We have the parks, the beaches, multiple golf courses and the best vacation homes available at the best price.

If you are looking for good income potential we have some communities here that rent 70% to 85% of the time and with that some of them will generate enough income so you can break even. Of course since you’ll be staying at the property a couple of months of the year, you will not get 85%, but maybe 40% to 50%; assuming you pick the winter months to use your property.

Hi Kevin,

There are some great deals in the North Port/Port Charlotte area in SW Florida. North Port is located 25 minutes from the beaches and 40 minutes from Sarasota or Ft Myers. I can send you a list of foreclosed property in the area if you give me a call or email.
