Networking is the building of future business, and at first, we expect one to one results. This must be understood differently. When we network, we are branding ourselves with a group of potential buyers and sellers as well as among other brokers. The process is much like a drip mailing piece, unless at the time we are communicating with others in the network, there is a piece of business that needs your expertise. This, as you know is rare. We hope to get people to remember us - for our determination and our knowledge. Energetically, you create more magnetism for yourself when you do many things to network. Keep it up and you will see. All the best, Liz

I have gotten a couple of emails with people wanting my opinion. Yesterday I got a new buyer lead - very strong. I will be showing her properties.

Hang in there!

YES! In the past 3 months, since I started answering questions, I have gotten 1 listing and made another real buyer lead for the future. I believe the largest benefit by answering these questions is that anytime anyone types your name into google, the questions and your answers show up! The more educated answers that you provide, the better you look on google. It's a google world, so that's a good thing!

I've gotten a handful of buyers/sellers registering on my website and received numerous emails and phone calls. I've only been posting here for a month now and I love it!!!

Nope, and I never expect to.

To me this site is not about lead generation, but about market research.

I hang out on Trulia to see what buyers and sellers in the aggregate are thinking, so that when I talk to my buyers and sellers I am really on top of their concerns!

Nada here. Of course I'm not all warm and fuzzy with the rosey, peacy-keen attitude of some of the posters here. I speak here in a less restrained voice than I would with a refered client.
I do this to drive traffic to my radio show blog and to hear the diverse opinons on so many subjects pertaining to our buyers, sellers and we Realtors/Licensees.
What's with the white coats? Are you tending the cuckoos nest?? Or dental hygentists in your spare time?

I've been answering questions and working with Trulia for over a year now, in fact I am the top voice in San Francisco right now. No one has ever called and said "I liked your answer and I want you to be my agent". In this business it seems that we do everything we can and really never know where clients come back from. I believe that it all helps and everyone is looking so do everthing you can to raise your stature.

Hi Becky,

Trulia started in the Bay Area of San Francisco with a very cool look and friendly search engine a few years ago. It has now a huge traffic of prospect buyers, sellers and real estate professionals navigating its pages daily . Personally i have noticed visits to my website listings from people all over the world probably because now due to the US low exchange currency real estate in the US is becoming a bargain for foreigners. It is just a matter of time until you see concrete results from Trulia traffic. Good luck!

I haven't gotten even a warm lead. This isn't a big presence in Dallas.
