Looking for a reputable home inspector & attorney

Asked by Lamron, Morristown, TN Sat Jan 19, 2008

Hi,
I am considering buying a house in Morristown, NJ area and wondering if you could recommend a reputable home inspector and a real estate attorney in New Jersey ...

Are there any web resources that rate assessors, inspectors and attorneys?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

AG

I would recommend Adam Dubeck, Esq., an attorney who lives in Morristown and works out of Livingston. I began working with Adam when he was with the State of NJ, Office of the Public Guardian. Adam's phone number is 973-992-1100 and his email is adubeck@steinlegal.com.

For an attorney, I recommend Vincent Failla, 197 Fairfield Road, Fairfield, NJ 07004 973-575-2528, He's a real estate attorney representing both buyers and sellers in every county.

For an inspector, Mike DeRosa at Certified Home Inspections, 973-667-3747

I use and/or highly recommend Certified Home Inspections in all my buyer transactions. He's very thorough and very accurate. He does all inspections himself.

If you call either one of them - tell them Gina Chirico sent you!

Good Luck!

HI Lamron,
I am a real estate broker in NJ and have many attorney and inspector contacts. I generally refer 3 attorneys and 3 inspectors, and I choose those 3 from a list much longer. Without knowing any details, I am at a loss of who to suggest. For example, if a home is waterfront and on a hill, I have a different list of inpsectors than for a condo. (The ones who know waterfront and hills charge a little more, but are worth it for that type of property.)

If you have a Realtor, I do not want to interfere with that relationship, and would suggest you rely upon your Realtor for suggestions. If you do not have a Realtor, you may email me or call me.
