Asked by Voices Member, Sat Apr 25, 2009

I would like to buy investment properties in East side of Detroit, especially, East english villege, harper woods, gross pointe farm, etc...
What is the best street in English Villege in Detroit? Also could you tell me the best part of street?

Just my opinion, but I think Kensington is the prettiest street, followed by Yorkshire. Any of the streets in the first one or two blocks off Mack between Cadieux and Outer Drive--Harvard, Grayton, Bishop, Yorkshire, Kensington--is where I would buy.

Thats a tough question, but what I always do when I'm out of state is look at Google maps and drive a neighborhood "virtually" using the street view.

This way I can see what the place looks like, examine the street, the neighbors, and what not...

We have several homes in that area that are half off, and are beautifully rehabbed.

Go to my site and call me. We can talk.

As far as best street goes, that really has to be determined by YOU based on your determination. Agents can't steer clients to a particular area. Spend time driving in the areas that interest you during the day and night is the best way to conclude the areas that may be of interest. You may also want to utilize the resources at the city county bldg to give you more factual information. I also have known that reaching out to the local community organizations and or local residents is the best way to find out more about any given community.
