Judy,

There are several 55+ communities in the Sarasota / Bradenton area. Currently, prices range from $25,000 to over $200,000. The communities vary as to amenities offered and association fees. I can provide you with additional information on specific communities that match your needs.

There is a great Mobile Home Park just south of Sarasota called THE ARBORS it is in Osprey and within walking distance to the PO, Walmart, Doctors, Dentists, Hairdressers, A Tavern, etc. GREAT LOCATION right along US 41 - 10 minutes to 2 beaches in opposite directions. Park is very friendly, nice club house, heated pool, and lots of activities. YOU OWN THE LAND HERE, and Trash, Cable TV, Water, Sewer, Lawn Maintenance, Clubhouse, Pool, everything is included for a 145.00 per month fee. Great Prices on Many Homes too. Very Family Feeling 55+ community - some pet restrictions in park.
My Mother has lived there for a few years, but is now selling her place. One of the best (and newest) homes in the park. LEt me know and good luck - I am sure there are others too around. Chris

Judy. Congratulations on your decision to relocate to Sarasota!! You will love our wonderful community. I would be happy to assist you if you care to provide additional information as to how to best contact you. You may wish to consider a residence other than a manufactured home because of the wonderful buying opportunities in the market right now. Good luck to you in your relocation!!

I know of one in Venice that is one the water. It is 2 bedroom 2 baths built in 2005 in Hatchett Creek Mobile home park. It is very clean and up to current hurricane codes. Extra parking pad for a boat if you have one. You own the land. You can look down the canal and see the intercoastal, which leads you to the gulf with no fixed bridges. If you would like more information, please call me.

I can help you Judy. I have lived here for 6 years. My mom owns a home in one of the parks. Perhaps the best park in the area (so the residents feel it is). THE ARBORS. It is halfway between Venice and Sarasota.
You can walk to the PO, Super-Wal-Mart, Dr. Offices, Veternarians, and if you are Catholic a large Catholic Church. There are also places to eat, a club, and oh yeah the Beach and Waterways only a few miles away.
My mom is also looking to actively sell her place. She lives out of State and it is becomming a bit much for her to travel and maintain anymore. It is a 55+ community. heated pool, club house, other outdoor activities, etc. You can reach me on my cell @ (941) 525-0083 if you would like to chat more about the area or this park in particular.
Thanks - Good Luck - Chris

Japanese Gardens in Venice area is small but nice. Close to Manasota Beach. Check it out.

Hi Judy,

This is the best time for buyers in years because there are opportunities for everyone. Unless you absolutely need a manufactured home, don't close the door on other options. We see homes selling daily for prices well under $100,000.

The "foreclosure" market may be the opportunity you are looking for.

Good luck,

Judy,
There are a number of options for you in the Sarasota market pertaining to manufactured homes. If you want to email me regarding your specific area of preference and price range I can be more helpful, but it should suffice to say that if you are willing to live with risk of a manufactured home, there are lots of communities to choose from- some with outstanding locations near the beaches.
