it is on the internet. type into google the name of the city town or borrough, a space, and then gov. that will almost automatically bring up the goverment website. do a little searching on the web site. I have so far been able to get plot maps, latest tax apprasials---down to the actual owner of the property. It has been very helpful.

Yopu can call a local agent or consult the town because it is public record.

if the property is already sold then it's public knowledge , just check with the city or contact a realtor .

It can easily be done with Zillow (for many more houses than on Trulia, as Zillow covers much larger area. Just go to http://www.Zillow.com, type the house address and look on the property details. If the house you are looking for is not there, ask an agent to help you and he/she will pull it out for you from the title company database.

In MD, it is public information uploaded to the MD Real Property database. The purpose per the search engine is to provide: " Access to real property ownership, assessed value and property sales in Maryland".

Hi Sha,

You can type the full address (e.g. 123 Main Street, Somecity, NJ) into the Trulia search box above, select the "Homes" option in the pulldown menu to the left, and click SEARCH. We have millions of property records, so chances are we know about this property's past sale transaction.

you might need to be friendly with a realtor who could assist you with your sale or your purchase
