What would the property taxes be on a newly built 3,000sq ft single home in Lower Southampton Township?

The township millage is 14.08. Before I build I'd like to know what the taxes would be for a 3,000 sq ft home.

You can see that the property taxes are $9,730. This should give you a rough idea of what to expect in L. Southampton. My office is in Feasterville, so I'm very familiar with this area.

If you call the tax accessors office In Lower Southampton Township and give them the information on the home they will be able to tell you. ( give or take a little bit) There phone number is easily assesable (sp??) through the internet.

You also need to include county and school district milage in your calculations, currently the total milage for L. Southampton is in excess of 185. The final assessment of the property will of course be based on the lot size as well as the building square footage, but recently constructed homes of about 3000 sf on roughly 1/3 acre have been assessed between 55-60k, so the taxes are in excess of $10000.

Of course you should contact the authority at the township for more info on your particular situation...

This would all depend on what the value of the home is. There are some 2600 sq ft new homes with a $5800 tax on them recently listed. I would guess that a 3000 sq ft home would cost around $500K or so. So I would think the taxes would be at least $7K.
