Any relocation advise? Cape Coral???

Asked by Jennifer, Staten Island, NY Wed Oct 1, 2008

We are 40 something yr old couple with a 12 year old daughter looking to relocate in SW Fl. My parents are looking in Bonita Springs but they are both retired. We want to stay within 30 minutes of them but I am really researching where the best place to raise children would be. We would like to be on the water (gulf access), in a very good school system, and accessable to jobs like... salon for me, tile showroom for my husband. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Jennifer,

Cape Coral is a very nice location with some great real estate deals at this time. There is plenty of convenient water for boating but beach access is a little more difficult. It is also a convenient location for work as well with an average commute to both Naples and Ft. Myers.

Congratulations and good luck with your decision to relocate.

Jennifer,

I have lived in Cape Coral since 1994 and just love it here! There are great homes available in all price ranges. We have many great schools to choose from, including charter and private.

There are plenty of salons and tile stores as well.

You can search some great homes on my website.

I look forward to assisting you!

Hi Jennifer,
I live in Cape Coral and the mother of 4 daughters (ages 3,6,10 and 19). I find this is a great community to raise children. Hello Jennifer,
Congratulations on your possible decision to relocate to this area! Of course, there is school choice determined by the zone you live in. I have raised my family here, and I now see my grandchildren continue on that path. Ilive on gulf access and have loved it! If you want to research the area, please don't hesitate to access my webite for any information you might need. There are links to the school system, etc. If I can be of any further assistance, be sure to get in touch! Best of luck!

Jennifer,

Cape Coral currently represents offers great value for gulf access property. There are also some opportunities at higher price points in South Fort Myers. Without an idea about your budget, it is tough to definitively answer your question.

There is an extensive inventory of gulf access homes for sale right now in Cape Coral, it is truly a buyers market! Here are all the gulf access homes so you can start taking a look:

There is school choice in Lee County. As far as being on the water.....if you are hindered by budget than the Cape would be the affordable place for that.

Have you ever looked at Estero? It borders Bonita Springs and is a GREAT place for families. I would love the opportunity to discuss this with you further. I can also start to send you some properties via email.
