You have to have an agent you can trust. Your properties have been on the market for a year? Is there something unusual about your property(ies) that make them difficult to sell?
You may want to give your agent a notice in writing that you wish to end the contract and that the contract may not be valid without an end date and that you will take this to the DRE if necessary.
Let me know if I can help!
All my best,

Dot is correct. A contract to be valid has to have a beginning and ending date. The agent has violated the law and you should talk to the broker in charge.
Best of Luck to you and not to worry!
