I'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS AS NANCY........WHERE THEY SIT ON YOUR OFFER UNTIL THEY GET A BETTER ONE. AND THEY WANT MORE THAN WHAT THE HOUSE IS LISTED FOR.
THERE IS ALSO THAT BANK IN TEXAS.
I AM NOT AN INVESTOR EITHER. JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH THE HOUSE. I AM STARTING TO THINK ABOUT BUILDING ALSO, BUT I DON;'T KNOW HOW MUCH ALL THE FEES WOULD BE TO HOOK UP ALL THE UTILITIES. THAT PART SCARES ME.
I just want to buy a house - I'm not an investor. Tell me how much you want for the house. If I think I can swing it, I'll negotiate with you, otherwise I'll move on. Only now, agents are listing houses here in FL for much less than they know the bank will accept. This is my third and last short sale. I offered on the first and sat and waited for nothing. The agent was collecting bids like acorns. We approached the next but he was honest and said that they'd want to go to closing before my fha loan could be processed to avoid foreclosure. Apparently they spent a lot of time collecting offers but everyone backed out because of the lack of communication from the bank. Hah! I hope they go through foreclosure on that house.
I've been in conversation with builders for a new home. If this short sale offer isn't accepted, they can sit and spin on the wind vane! I'll buy a new house.
It's a cryin' shame. A buyer's market? I don't think so. It's an investor's market.
I just want to buy a home for my family.
AND WHY SHOULD THEY.........THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A SHORT SALE. IF THEY DON'T WANT TO DO IT THEY CAN PAY ALL THE MONEY TO GO THRU THE FORECLOSURE AND KEEP THEIR MONEY TIED UP EVEN ALOT LONGER.
that particualr bank is VERY large and is probably processing 1000's of short sales at any given time. If your short sale packet was incomplete in ANY way, missing any documentation at all, it was probably sent to the shredder weeks ago - or al leastleft on the bottom of the pile and may someday get looked at, but why would they look at an incomplete file and "help" someone take money from them when they can simply look at the complete files that were handed in by experienced short sale negotiators?
