I am a big fan of the choices we enjoy in PV to fit our kids in the best spot and by no means believe private schools offer a more comprehensive college prep curriculum. Its just most public schools in Arizona are “open enrollment†meaning you can send your children wherever you are willing to drive as long as they have availability. A few of the highest-ranking traditional and/or schools of choice in Scottsdale Unified School District do not, and your child could be placed on a waiting list. However, they are worth the wait... travel blessings to you and your little ones- Rae
I want to also add, that the Scottsdale School District is a great district, but each school really stands on it's own. All the Scottsdale Unified School District schools within the Town of Paradise Valley boundries are top notch. There are some not so great schools within the district, but not in PV.
As far as private schools in, or near, the Town of Paradise Valley, there are several to choose from depending on your children's needs. We absolutely loved Tesseract School, but Phoenix Country Day School is great too, since your kids are still young. Both schools are K-12, academically challenging & high achieving. If Christian based is more your thing....there is Scottsdale Christian Academy, and Scottsdale Bible School which is attached to Scottsdale Bible Church. There are some great Jewish schools nearby as well. Once your kids are high school age, there is Brophy (boys), and an all girls private school....the name escapes me right now. Both excellent schools. That is the great thing about the Town of Paradise Valley (and why people pay top dollar to live there!), it is convenient to everything!
Hi, our family has lived in Paradise Valley for 5 years, and our son has attended Tesseract School, a small private school, K-12. Our son is now attending Chaparral High School, which is a top rated public high school in Paradise Valley, but within the Scottsdale school district. We are actually one block south of the attendence border, but Open Enrollment into many of the area schools is pretty easy~ which is what we did. And the bus stops right at our corner! (Don't be confused with the Phoenix area referred to as Paradise Valley....it isn't the Town of Paradise Valley, which is much more exclusive)
Our house is now for sale: 6808 E Bronco Dr., Paradise Valley, 85253. 4/5 in the main house & 1/1 in the guest house. Or realtor is Betsy Dickinson, 480-695-8522 Good Luck! If you want any other information, please feel free to ask, there are plenty of great schools, and areas to live.

Every parent point of view is differnt , what it could be best for you is not necessary the same for others. Check the web sites provided, call the schools, check out the schools, if you are working with a realtor, she/he should be able to help you more. When are you moving? are you working with a realtor?

Feel free to contact me if you have questions.
Great question, but one unfortunately a real estate agent shouldn't answer directly. I can guide your search a bit, however, by suggestion you check out:
That web site has every school available, with test scores, contact info, programs, etc. As a result, I find it to be a very useful resource.
