Even if there aren't four season ammenities right at a particular complex, everything is relatively close here. The Berkshires IS a four season resort. We have theater, concerts, fine art galleries, and other cultural destinations year-round; downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoing, ice skating, and sledding all winter; every water sport imaginable (except surfing!) in the summer; hiking, mountain climbing, biking, tennis, yoga, art classes, horseback riding, day spas, and my FAVORITE form of hunting - SHOPPING!!!!!!! - year-round. The restaurants are fabulous, too. Come for a visit to see for yourself. One of these terrific agents will help you find a great property located in the middle of it all.
i just joined trulia, i hope my answer is not outdated...there are many areas of good vacation/resort communities here in the berkshires priced under $500,000...a good choice would be leisure lee, it would be centrally located to 4 season activity...close to summer attractions as well as being near skiing in winter...there are some all inclusive condomominium communities as well that feature lakes, pools, clubhouses etc...
let me know if you have any more questions or if i can be of any help.
