Clarification on postlets.com.

Asked by rockinblu, Austin, TX Sat Aug 2, 2008

I fess up. I screwed up. Thank you Jed for calling me on it. I was believing what I was reading on poslets. com's home page. Digging further back on their site, trulia and zillow who are listed on the front page with no footnotes, are listed as syndication partners with footnotes. These footnotes clearly state that postlets.com will only syndicate agent/broker listings to trulia and zillow. If you are a FSBO, and followed my advice using postlets, and are waiting for your listing on trulia, it ain't gonna happen. Sorry for the misinformation. However, http://www.postlets.com/home.php seems to be a good site for FSBO's as I did get some inquiries off their site, after I upgraded to their plus version.

... and to clarify further, I sent an inquiry to postlets.com to make certain and received the following e-mail from them:

Unfortunately Trulia and Zillow currently do not accept
for-sale-by-owner listings. Sorry about that.

So, Jed, Keith and now Rockin' are correct. Postlets listings will not syndicate to Trulia or Zillow unless you are listed by an agent/agency.

Thanks guys for showing some class here. You could have easily came after me on this one. ElV!S, I am sorry I put you through all that trouble. I voted you best answer because of that, but that in no way meant I didn't appreciate Keith's reply equally.

Rockin
no problem.
I had to read the fine print before I made that post, but OTOH Trulia's been saying that from the get go.
Nice post here.
