HELP!!!Why aren't my offers getting accepted? I am offerering over list price with experienced agents,,,

Asked by T, 90604 Sat May 16, 2009

I have exellent credit, decent down payment but am getting nowhere. Not sure all this drama is worth it. I might be just as happy as a renter, no taxes, gardener bills, or maintance issues. American dream or nightmare?

It is the same story all across the state of CA. The problem is the banks held off on foreclosing on homes from Dec to March, so this has created a low inventory. The word on the street is that more houses will be coming on the market very soon as the banks process that backlog of foreclosures and put them on the MLS as REO's.

Its the American Dream to buy right now...$8,000 tax credit, low interest rates, affordable prices. Only problem, everyone's dream. There is a shortage of inventory in Chino Hills and an abundance of buyers. I feel your frustration as do the 9 buyer's I'm currently representing.
On an average we are submitting 8 offers prior to getting an acceptance. Don't give up, it will be worth it in the long run when you are kicking back on the land you own watching your equity grow. More houses will hit the market within the next 3 months. Don't beat yourself up or get attached to any house. Just keep writing those offers and the one that is meant to be will stick. Good Luck!
