She has a possible buyer and is requesting a one time showing that is an extension of a 6 month listing. During this time she invested time and money in marketing your home.
It's unfair to consider her active involvement as a single showing.
... and you live in Illinois (so do I), and the "regular" commission is NOT 7%. There is no "regular" commission in Illinois... agents and agencies charge different rates, across the state and across town. I'm sure there are agencies in Peoria that charge 6% and some may charge less.
... yes, the lead was generated by the agent's website... but the listing agreement was cancelled (or expired) and therefore you should feel free to "negotiate" a new one-day commission rate.
... make sure it's a rate that you can be happy with, if they should decide to write an offer.
But I will just give you MY thoughts and you go from there.
a) check your listing agreement, there is usually a clause about what you can and cannot do and when you
owe your brokerage co./listing Agent commission
b) The problem you are having is that the other agent did not contact YOU directly but you former listing agent
1. if the other agent would have contacted YOU then you could have negotiated for a one side commission
with that agent for a one time showing, like let's say half of what you would have paid to your listing
agent you mentioned 7 % so 3.5 or similar whatever the showing agent and you would agree on... and sign.
2. But since in this case not only the other buyers agent is involved but also you former listing agent the situation is a bit more complicated, Here is my question to you, if your listing agent would have had that
buyers agent bring a buyer would you have paid at the closing the 7 % commission?
If the answer is yes, why not now?
The other suggestion I could have is why not discuss it with your former listing agent and see if he and the other showing agent/buyers agent would accept a lower commission rate..... Just suggestions!
Just talk with your former listing agent and come to a mutually agreeable arrangement.
YOU ARE MOST LIKELY MORE INTERESTED IN SELLING YOUR PROPERTY THEN LOSING THE DEAL FOR A FEW % points... Am I right?

Commissions are negotiable and not set by standards or law. You can negotiate this with the Realtor and hopefully come to an agreement that you're both comfortable with.
