Valerie Fox, Home Buyer in 94546

Looking to buy a home in the Austin, TX area.

Asked by Valerie Fox, 94546 Sun Jun 1, 2008

Will be looking for newer home in the 200,000-350,000 range, approx 2000 sq. ft. One story preferable, with view! No condos.
We do not need schools. Where might we start looking? Thank you.

You could get a wide array of answers based on the generality of your question. Austin, like many cities, has a range of values, styles, amenities, commute issues, neighborhoods, etc. View lots are available in many locales, depending on what you prefer a view of.

Will you have a concern about a commute, and where to? What type of community are you looking for? Do you have any preferences for architecture, community amentities, transportation, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, garage spaces? While you do not "need" schools, schools drive a great deal of the value proposition and investment protection, so be careful when you disregard this parameter.

Coming from California, what are your expectations for the view?

There are a lot more questions to ask. But these will help to set some direction to your search. If you would like to discuss, check out my profile and contact me at your convenience. Otherwise, provide more detail to the above questions.
