Can I afford to buy a house?

Asked by Marcie Fusco, 08882 Sun Oct 19, 2008

We have been renting since 2003 and we've been paying a high rent. Can you pls help us find an affordable house. My mother-in-law and my husband and his uncle will be contributing for the mortgage?

Marcie,

Hi. I answered your other post regarding affording a home. Give Frank Gatto, Home Capital Network, a call 201-650-2763. He will explain in detail the different programs available as well as qualifying for a mortgage, renting vs. buying, etc.. There is no obligation to use him but he will provide some valuable information for you which is the first step in buying a home.

I agree, now is a great time to buy a home. However you need to make sure you will be comfortable with the monthly payments. So what you really need is a pre-approval for a home loan.

Check out my website for more information, free reports about buying real estate and for a free pre-approval.

Hi Marcie,

The best thing for you to do now is discuss your finances with an experienced mortgage representative. Get pre-qualified and discuss different mortgage options for you needs. Once you are pre-qualified, you want to know how much your monthly payments are going to be based on the price of the home and the homes's taxes and insurance. My point is, you may be quailified for one amount, but are the payments where you want to be. Once you determine your qualifications and the amount you want to spend per month including the taxes and insurance, then you will know what price range you should be shopping for a home. You are welcome to call Superior Mortgage at (609) 294-0006 to get started. Take a few minutes, make the phone call, ask to speak with a mortgage representative, then tell them you want to see about qualifying for a mortgage, the representative will ask you a few questions. This will take a few minutes. Good luck.
