I can tell you that from what they paid , their closing cost and what they have put into the house- I can see some of it, they may be very right here. You do not know if they took out a loan for repairs or not, but the house is priced right for what they paid. They are not supposed to pay you to buy the house.
I know what their closing cost will be, except for their loan balance and what you are asking for, and I know what they paid. I have an idea what they have spent and I know how much the home should have appreciated, they are not asking too much for the house is you are figuring this way.
I am guessing you are not beeing represented by a realtor. If you are, he/she should be abe to give you this information (it is readily available). If not, feel free to contact me and after signing a buyer tenant representation agreement I'll be more than happy to provide you with that and other information you may need in order to help you make a purchasing decision.
Hope this helps.
P.S. My contact information is on my website.
Please do not take the advise about the Appraisal District that Lynn gave, She does keep trying to help in our area but it is noting like Dallas down here. Our appraisal districts here are not always near market value in the appraisals, and we all know that unless they are over we certainly do not want to correct them.
Sorry I see the full question, Yes you are asking what they paid. But that makes no difference. You do not know what they have spend on the house. Plus who cares if they paid $1.00 for the house they hace a right to make some money. You just don't want to pay more than market value. Do the comps for the area for a house in the same condition. That will tell you if the house is over priced.
Are you looking for what these sellers paid for it? your agent should be able to look that up, You should not ask us to do their work. Are you using the Listing agent. They still have to give you public records when asked, but only when asked.
