Your question didn't state federal or county tax foreclosures. For the county tax foreclosures in your local area, each county tax office will list the upcoming foreclosures. In Texas, most counties have their tax foreclosure sales every month on the first Tuesday. Here's the page for the Harris county tax office foreclosure sales:

Here's a link to a website that contains info on all Texas counties:

For HUD houses (FHA foreclosures) go to http://www.houstonforeclosureinfo.com/hud.htm and check those.
For VA... http://www.ocwen.com/reo/residential/reoproplist.cfm?statech… scroll down to Houston
For Fannie Mae... http://www.fanniemae.com/reoSearchApplication/fanniemae/reoS…
For Freddie Mac... http://www.homesteps.com/
For FDIC... http://www.fdic.gov/buying/owned/index.html
For IRS properties.. http://www.fdic.gov/buying/owned/index.html

If you find something that interests you, I'd be happy to help you with your purchase.

Tax foreclosure lists are specific to the county where the property is located. For instance, the list of Harris County tax foreclosures is not free, but can be purchased at http://www.foreclosehouston.com or http://www.realdata.net . However, Fort Bend County tax sales lists are free and can be obtained by calling the Fort Bend County Tax Office at 281-341-3710.

As a side note, you might want to look for either a title company or attorney to research the title on the properties you are considering to bid on.

Many of your local title companies will offer you monthly foreclosures postings.

Harris county does provide a list of government forclosures like most cities in Texas, but it is not free.
You might want to consider working with a licensed realtor.
I would be happy to provide you with a list of active homes on the market - both foreclosures and non foreclosures.

Hope this helps
