Does anyone know the situation re parking at Middletown train station?

Is it available, how much does it cost?

Waiting list for long time on parking - you can also take the bus - goes much faster than the train believe it! Took the train for years. From Middletown on 36 about 1 hour - to 1 hr. 15. Much less expensive too. You can drive to Cheesequake and take the bus from there as well, every bus required to stop there during peak hours. There's a ferry from Belford, Atlantich Highlands and Highlands (they are pricey but nice and fast)...lots of ways to go, not limited to the train.

Parking permits for Middletown are issued by the clerk's office. You can apply for a permit at an auxiliary lot and will automatically be wait listed for the main lot. 732.615.2016 http://www.middletownnj.org

There is also a shuttle service that provides transportation from a few different lots to both the train station and the Belford ferry dock. It's called dock and roll. http://www.dockandrollshuttle.com/

Best place for your answers is the Middletown website:

Generally there is a waiting list for parking in the lot closest to the train but there is other parking options available. Hope that helps.
