2BR/2B Vocation Rental

Asked by Jaykay, Alpharetta, GA Fri May 16, 2008

I am looking for a 2BR/2B condo for the range of 200K-300K walkable distance to the ocean on a golf course possibly with good rental history. I am currently looking in Myrtle Beach.

I like Hilton Head, it is green, less high rise buildings...but the prices have scared me in the past. Anything available in Hilton Head area now in my range with the market down

Sounds like you are familiar with Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Bch so you know you can not compare the two its like apples and oranges. There are many condos in the Hilton Head area right now that fall into your price range. I have over 8years of Vacation Rental experience working for two of the largest rental companies on HHI and I would be happy to help you and get you in the right direction. Feel free to email me maureen@maureenhouston.com so we can talk.

Hi Jaykay,

There are many options available for you. Are you still actively looking?

If you are familiar with Hilton Head Island and its Plantations, you should consider an area like Palmetto Dunes Resort. Palmetto Dunes Real Estate would provide you with several options on 2 bedroom villas within a 10 minute walk to the beach, capturing views over lush fairways of the Championship Golf Courses. While you may find more options in closer proximity to the beach in Forest Beach, the Palmetto Dunes Resort lifestyle and amenities attracts rental clients year round versus the prime 10-12 weeks of the summer.

I believe you would be impressed with what you can get on Hilton Head Island these days. Please let me know how I may be of assistance. You might consider looking at Palmetto Dunes options in my link below or use the general search on http://www.danielmoskowitzrealty.com

If you're still looking, there are several townhomes currently available in the North Myrtle Beach area, @ Fairway Oaks on the Surf Golf & Country Club, this complex is only 5 blocks to the beach with the option of walking or riding your golf cart the 5 blocks. If the golf course is not completely necessary, $300K and less will get you oceanfront and oceanview 2BR units in the area too, which have excellent rental histories as vacationers prefer to be as close as possible to the beach. I'd be glad to send you a link of the available properties in that price range.

Hilton Head Island has what you want. There are several locations here on or close to the beach with two-bedroom, two-bathroom furnished vacation rental condos for less than $300,000 and even for less than $200,000! One location has an oceanfront swimming pool and cabana bar, ten tennis courts and pro shop, on-site vacation rental company and a 24-hour guarded security gate! I know because I have been selling these economical vacation rental villas on Hilton Head Island for over 33 years! (On Hilton Head Island, we call condos villas). Some of the villas in this price range rent far better than others. Let me find the one that you like best and that will rent the best. A reminder that the vacation rental villas in this price range do not allow pets. A vacation villa in a golf community will cost more than you want to spend but vacation rental success is generally related to proximity to the beach and there are many golf courses within a short drive from these economical villas.

Many people are pleasantly surprised to learn that Hilton Head Island has a good selection of economical real estate and not just the most expensive, luxury properties. I am sure that we will find a good one for you here for less than $300,000.
