Where in Frisco to maximize appreciation/resale?

I've resided in Plano for 25 years and am highly familiar with the Tollway/121 corridor, having recently sold my West Plano home October 2008.

After a recent drive north on 121 up to 380, I was stunned at how much growth is in place.

I am looking for a single story home with a pool around $230k on the west side of the Tollway preferred. Newer or new construction preferred.

You probably want to consider a neighborhood that is basically built out and that resells well. Lone Star Ranch's Quail Meadow neighborhood in Frisco is a great neighborhood that is still selling well and has not been hit as hard as some of the othe areas. Finding a pool at that price might be difficult, but not impossible. Be careful of many of the other areas. The farther North you go, the cheaper everything gets. I moved from West Plano to Frisco and love it. I am sure you will love the area regardless of where you move in Frisco. The city has so much to offer.

If you are considering areas North of Hwy 121, there are some great values in Prosper as well. For example, I have a listing on a single story ranch home with over 2800 sf of living space, 3-car wide garage, 5-bedrooms, and an open floorplan with salt-water filtration pool, spa, and aggregate decking, sitting on a quarter acre lot, listed at $255,000. This home was built in 2003.

If you remember Plano when you first moved there 25 years ago, it felt like a small town. That's how Prosper feels today, but with an Economic Development Committee that is piecing together a magnificent plan for the future and the ground-work is already started.

If the west side and newer construction is what you prefer, then you might go up closer to the Eldorado parkway area. Grayhawk is one of them - if you want to talk about a community in general.

Some parts of the Frisco market is affected by the price which means, you could maximize your appreciation and resale for when you sell. Some builders went into bankruptcy leaving banks to hold them and finishing them out. This is one of a more profitable way for you to find a home.

Good luck in your home search. You cant go with Frisco. That's why I live, play and work here.

you definately have to buy right! I am very experienced in doing that for my clients. If New is not a priority than you can do real well! You do not want a home near alot of rental properties, and you Do not want to Buy the most expensive home in Subdivision! There has been so much growth, you are right! Any city with new construction NOT LAND LOCKED will take a few years max out on construction move forward with appreciation.

Recommend locate a Frisco home for sale with pool below market value,

All depends on length of time you want to hold onto a property short/long term goals.

The link above references the only home I came across in West Frisco with the options you requested. There are many lovely homes to choose from in your price range within west Frisco, but the pool limits the choices a bit. The above link references a home that has a pool and is located just west of Eldorado Pkwy and the tollway.
