Asked by Jennifer, Bakersfield, CA Sat May 3, 2008

sooner if we can find a place sooner. He hasn't been able to give us a date on when we have to be out. To be on the safe side I would like to start looking, I have 2 small childeren and don't want to move at the last miniute when he tells us. What are my rights as a renter in this situation?

Suggest you to see you lease contact. In it you should find that paragraphs that relates to this issue. You must be notified by Owner when the Notice of Default was filed and that you will be able to determine time you have, more over the Notice of Default will contain Trustee name and their phone numbers, by calling to Trustee you will keep yourself informed. Request the copy from Owner
