The "roof" I see in the canals in the Inlets (Pinnacle, Spinnaker etc.) on Google Earth...what are these?

There are some nice single family homes in the Bay Colony area, in northern Palmetto, with deep and wide canals. There are no bridges as obstacles, so it is perfect for sailboats.

I agree that The Waterway and Mariner's Cove are good choices for condominiums.

The roofs are at the ends of the canals leading to the river. At the inlets your boat has to go thru a lift to get from the freshwater canals to the river which is brackish. a sailboat would not work at the inlets. You need properties with docks that say no bridges to the river, gulf, bay etc.

The Waterway in Bradenton would be good, Anna Marie Island, Longboat Key, Mariners Cove in Bradenton etc.

Good Morning Brenda,
I believe the "roofs" you refer to are the boat lifts. Some of the homes are on fresh water canals and the boat lifts raise them into the Manatee River. There are numerous areas for you to dock and enjoy your sailboat here. If you'll give me an indication of a comfortable price range, I'll be happy to customize a search on your behalf. If there are any additional criteria you would like to include it may help me refine the search to a perfect fit.
Will this be your primary residence or are you looking for a "winter escape". Nashua has been VERY cold and I'm sure you've had your fill of gray skies. I'm originally from Andover, MA and can appreciate the need to absorb some sunshine.
I look forward to helping you.
