e-mail fax recommendation please

Asked by Bob Costello, Highlands Ranch, CO Thu Feb 26, 2009

Just comparing some e-mail fax options. Seems that efax is by far the most expensive and the low cost / free fax service ones have too many limitations. I want to 'own' my fax number. Apparently, we still need an actual 'machine' for those signature pages.

Yes, we just dropped efax for faxtopia....half the price.

I have had great sucess using The faxes come thru very quick and there is no delay. They have several different plans to choose from. You can also store the faxes for over a year if I remember correctly.

We like for $9- a month.
Yes, it's all about security. We do REO's and I don't want other agents seeing my bank contacts on the company fax machine.....

I have been using Send2FAX http://( for many years. They gave me a unique Toll-Free ("800")number. There was a low fee to sign up, after which I pay only for the pages sent and received. The service converts incoming FAX messages to a .pdf ,and I am notified by E-mail when a message is received. (The pdf is attached to the notification message.)

In addition to inbound FAX messages, I can create outbound messages from my computer by filling out the cover sheet and uploading the Word or .pdf file to be sent.

A private E-FAX is better than having documents sent to the office machine, where they can get lost, or where others can read them. (Privacy is very important for incoming offers--especially if another agent in the office has a client interested in the same property.)
