I lived in Pepperidge as early as 3 yrs. ago if you do your research you will find out that the area has had it's share of crimes but to be fair, I think because it is one of Augusta's largest subdivisions this makes it appear to be more problematic than smaller subdivisions. My experience living there is a mixed one, the homes are mainly well-kept, there are a fair share of renters but still a large sum of homeowners. The down side of the area is because the large amount of homes, there are lots of teens and young children in the area so it can get noisy at times......I moved because of this issue. however; this is my personal experience I'm sure others living in the area are not bothered by the noise.

I sold property in the Pepperidge Subdivision. I think it is one of South Augusta's best locations. My buyers were very pleased with being in close proximity to shopping plazas and Fort Gordon. Pepperidge is an established neighborhood that actually is a two in one. There is another part of that subdivision known as Pepperidge Pointe, which is where my buyers chose to purchase. Homes in that area were built much later than some of the others in Pepperidge. I think it is a pleasant area to live. Several people are in the process of re-establishing a neighborhood association, which is a grand idea for any neighborhood. As a licensed real estate broker/owner I can certainly attest to the fact that crime happens everywhere and that it is a neighborhood's responsiblity to lessen the effects and possiblities of these occurrences. And, it is always advantageous to "know thy neighbor". Many of us are far too private. I was guilty of this myself, but I have learned through my experience with the military to bloom where I am planted.

I currently purchased a home in Sandridge Sub and was renting in Fairington Dr. sub. for the past 4 years. There has not been any murders or gang violance in these subdivisions. It makes me wonder why someone would blatantly lie. I also looked at pepperidge and drove around this subdivision, I did not like how open it was that many neighboring homes could view you out in the yard or patio. A privacy fence would do wonders in the homes I was considering in Pepperridge. I chose to look elsewhere. I also spoke to a Police officer that patrols these subs, and he said property crime takes it turns in these subs, no more than the newer subs in hephzibah. Drive the area, speak to the police officer, and your neighbors and your answer to to your question will be simply anwered.

Past 3 months there has been at least 3 murders. Gang activity HIGH! If you want the absolutely worst for your children then this is the place for you!

If you are new to the area, I'd check with the Richmond County Sheriff's office about the crime rate in that area before I'd even bother to look.

Pepperidge is a subidivision that is "For Sale" and by this I mean there currently 33 active listings for sale in the neighborhood. Prices are typically between $93,000 and $149,999 with average days on market of roughly 120 days. There are a few forclosures that could be purchased a considerable discount as well.. The neighborhood is rather large in size and has quite a few homes. It's very Close to Fort Gordon which would make commuting for military personel or government contractors very easy. I'd be more than happy to provide you with more information so feel free to contact me!
