You can get a 7-day free trial from a few providers but then if you don't cancel they start to charge you, thats why you put your card in there. Many services are local in nature. In MA you can pay for a local online service that serves only MASS or else you can buy the local real estate paper 'B&T'. If your county has a good online registry of deeds you can thumb through yourself online, otherwise you probably have to go to the courts and pull paperwork - in which case you should look at what your time is worth.

Joyce, most real estate agents will have access to the foreclosure lists, both current and upcoming. I would recommend finding an agent that could help you by supplying this information. Since there are a multitude of banks and mortgage companies that are foreclosing on homes every day, there is no central database of foreclosures. The sites that promise a "list" are providing a service and would probably expect to be paid.

Also, I think you may have accidentally posted this in the Massachusetts area instead of Kentucky. Best of luck with your eventual purchase and sale of a home!
