Good morning. My name is Sam and I am a REALTOR with Coldwell Banker. I am not sure of your timeframe, but if you give me a call I can get more specific information and place you in my company's "Buyer Watch" program. This program will automatically forward listings that meet your criteria to you and thus save you a lot of time looking through newspapers and the like. After you see something that you like, we can then arrange to visit the properties and then, if there is something that you fall in love with, we can proceed with the offer writing process. I am readily available to answer your questions. My email address is swhatley@cbmove.com . I look forward to helping you and your room-mate. Thanks!!! Sam

Karen,

Check out My Listings under my profile... I have a couple of great places on the market in Seven Oaks which is in Odenton. In your case, I would highly recommend this area due to it's close proximity to all the major commuter routes (i.e. Rt. 32, I97, 295, Rt. 50, Rt 3/301 etc.), MARC Train Station, and most importantly, Linthicum!

From an investment perspective, Seven Oaks is also a great neighborhood to buy in due to it's close proximity to Ft. Meade & the National Security Agency (NSA). Property values tend to be a little more stable and thousands of military/govenment/contractor jobs are expected to be added to the base over the next several years due to the base realignment (BRAC). Not to mention, it is a great rental market in case you ever decide to move again and want to keep your place as an investment property.

Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide.

Best of luck in your search!

Hi Karen, I can think of several really great neighborhoods that really retain their value. I am a full-time realtor and I really know the local market. A word of advice - you really must consider your roomate's commute time - which can vary tremendously depending on time of day, weather, etc. When does your transfer take effect?

Hi Karen,

I am not a real estate agent. but I recently bought a home in Hanover,MD in the villages of Dorchester. It is a upcoming community right off 295 and is much closer to Odenton and is a all highway route. Ryan homes offer homes BRAND NEW from $359,000 and you can get many free upgrades in this market. it is walking distance from ARUNDEL MILLS OUTLET MALL. Me and my wife love the area.

Karen,

I would reccomed Odenton as well as the previous agent. I am very familiar with Odenton because my husband and I lived there prior to moving to where we are now. It is central to everywhere really. It is 20-45 minutes from Balto., Annapolis, Columbia and the areas where you both will work. There are some other areas that would be convenient as well. Feel free to visit my web site or contact me. Best of luck!

Karen,
There are several areas in AA Co. that would be convenient to Linthicum and DC. One area that immediately comes to mind is Odenton - zipcode 21113. It would be an easy commute to Linthicum and there is a MARC train station that provides daily train service into DC. I know of many people who commute from Odenton to DC both via car and train. Aside from the fact that Odenton is very convenient to Baltimore, DC, and Annapolis, there are many other great reasons to consider the area. Feel free to contact me if you would like any additional information.
