Of course! And,well of course you'd expect a Realtor to say just exactly that. Using our services is what keeps us in business. Truth is, a good buyer's agent will protect you from making some pretty large mistakes in the purchase process. You could find a FSBO and buy without the use of a Realtor at all. You could buy using the Realtor who has listed the home you're interested in buying. Either way, you're at a great risk if you don't have proper representation. My team and I have sold hundreds of homes and it seems like we learn something new on every transaction. I can't imagine an individual going into a transaction of the magnatude of a home purchase without the experience of having done it several times with all the variables that can come into play.

Congrat’s on your move to Hillsboro! I hope that it turns out to be a great move for you. I typically recommend to home-buyers to speak with a couple different real estate professionals and mortgage professionals to figure out which one you feel most comfortable with. The bottom line is that there is a lot of asymmetric information in any industry (i.e. real estate, mortgage, insurance, etc.). It can be very difficult for consumers to accurately analyze who is offering them the best service. By talking my a few different people your intuition will very often provide a good indication of who is providing you with the best situation.

I would invite you to contact me and others in my business. I appreciate the opportunity.

Hello, I can answer any questions you have about getting a mortgage. We have our own underwriters in our office which makes a huge difference in today's market.

Also, certain areas of Hillsboro qualify for a true 100% loan with great rates. I'm not sure how much you are looking to put down, but this could be a great option for you if you have less than 20% for a down payment.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Kila - If you are interviewing buyers agents for your home search I would like to throw my name in the ring to be considered.
Perhaps you would like to read a few of the letters and cards I have recieved over the past few years from some of the relo cients I have helped, all of the friends I have assisted in relocating to Beaverton and Hillsboro have liked the way I treat them.... My e-mail is SoldbyMatt@Comcast.net - I will send you the referral letters if you would like to review them. My number is 503-860-0959 if you would like to speak for a few minutes - find out if you like the way I treat you and if you think I will be the right person to assist you in finding the perfect house, and then get you a GREAT deal on it.

You are bound to get a good number of agents throwing their hats into the ring with a question like that!

Start with viewing active Trulia Voices in the Portland metro area: http://www.trulia.com/real-estate-community/Hillsboro-18361/…

Maybe try the ActiveRain network: http://www.activerain.com (it was down tonight, or I would have given you a more direct link to Portland/Hillsboro).

Perhaps you'll like the answers/advice/information that agents are providing on those sites and will find someone you will be comfortable contacting directly.

Finally, perhaps your employer can suggest some references.
