Property Q&A in Davis>Question Details

me, Other/Just Looking in Davis, CA

This looks to be very close to railroad tracks. Would that pose much of a concern?

Asked by me, Davis, CA Wed Feb 4, 2009

Also, the yard looks terribly overrun. How much can that cost a seller? Can I use that to negotiate a few thousand dollars off the price?

this home is close to the railroad track. It is located in a charming core area of Davis and the railroad cuts right through the downtown. I am afraid that you cannot get away from the sound of the trains coming through Davis. Because of our flat geography, you can hear the trains blowing their whistles several times a day in just about all corners of Davis.

Hi-

Everything is negotiable! The great thing about this little house is it's location and proxcimity to Downtown. It is right on a busline as well. I live a few blocks over and I won't lie that there is train noise and often in the night it is loud! however, you do get used to it and it just kind of goes away. I sell many downtown houses and the pros far outway the cons of the train activity. I now see that this response is WAY overdue but this house is still available and easy to show. If you are still interested in seeing this or any other properties, please contact me directly anytime.
