My source at Whitney Bank sent me a list of the lenders in the area who do 203K loans. There are only a few. if you contact me directly with your e-mail i can forward the list to you. I have it on file.

I've had good experiences with Wells Fargo when working with 203K loans. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the info for their local office. Also, before making an offer, the first thing I would recommend is to have a realtor do a market analysis to determine if the property will have enough value after the rehab is complete. Your lender will require an appraisal anyway but a market analysis will give you an idea if you should move forward with a given property or search for another.
