In Palm Bay, the LockMar area - between Palm Bay Road and Malabar Road located near Emerson - is in the LockMar Elementary school zone which is an A-rate school. Very sought after area.

Do a Google search with "Gang activity in Palm Bay, Fl." and you will receive "About 468,000 results (0.15 seconds)" Not as nice as some would have us to believe.

Palm Bay has a lot of a+ rated schools. I say ride around and find a home you like because you cannot go wrong in Palm Bay!

You may have already bought a home but Brook Hollow, located at the cut off between palm bay and malabar (the neighborhood is technically in malabar which means lower taxesss) is where it's at. Im 17 and lived there for 15 years, whether it's the easter egg hunt around the lake, the annual fourth of july bike parade through the neighborhood, or the BEST neighborhood to go trick or treating on Halloween (one neighbor actually does a TRICK or TREAT, you pick if you wanna get tricked or have candy) this neighborhood is the best! Plus it's conveniently located to St. Joseph's Elementary School, a school i recommend as well (i used to wake up in the morning and couldn't wait to go to school, loved it that much). Brook Hollow's the best, if you want a neighborhood where you drive past people and everyone waves to you, even if you don't know them, it's the one. If i was raising a family here i'd want them to grow up there too, because honestly, there's no place like it.

Tanya,

There are so many beautiful places to live in Palm Bay and Melbourne. You may find the following website of great benefit to you in your search. I have marked the Melbourne Florida page. It includes demographics, home prices, sales, weather info, employers, school data and locations and so much more. When you're finished, check out the Palm Bay area. http://www.city-data.com/city/Melbourne-Florida.html

This search may make it easier for you to choose an area to live based on the school statistics.

Best wishes!
