In my opinion this is an excellent value for your investment dollar. The value of the lots in this area seem to be on the rise(according to zillow estimate this one's value is 32,000). There is already water on the property and the sewer LID has already been paid in full. This is an excellent build-able lot with lots of potential a few blocks away form the ocean.

I think it is an excellent opportunity for investment. I love this abundant wild life, marine life, the Pacific Ocean, open space, sand/grass dunes, trails, beaches, the harbor, proximity to the National Parks.....Counless amazing beautiful nature all around........ Nearby cities are growing fast and the development over the last 5 years in this area is truly phenomenal! Yet, for my health reasons, I need to find a good realtor to sell my beautiful bed and breakfast home on the canal, which has a 14 seat movie theater and 1920 retro soda/ Icea cream parlor with 16 mini seats , and countless pecial features none other B&B has.. Does anyone know who would be the best sales specialist or knows someone who is interested in managing or buying this one of a kind B&B? If you do please let me know?

Prices and rates are wonderful. As long as you are buying for yourself and long term enjoyment and not as an investment. Now is a perfect time to buy!

Hello Mike,

With the prices of our homes and the low interest rate this is the best time to buy!
If you like clean air, walking the beach and seeing an abundance of wildlife

I do have a question, I want to retire to Ocean Shores, but how far is a hospital, medical help away? And I mean a major medical center...

I think it is a great investment - I did buy there as a second home - we love it so much! Jeff Daniel at Coldwell Banker is an awesome agent there.
The thing about Ocean Shores that is so great is that it has everything - all price ranges and needs from fishing to beachcombing and more. Plus - it is so close to the Seattle area to just get away to with no notice if you find yourself with a free weekend. The people there are very nice and I think it is one of th ebetter investments in the state as far as second homes go.

Good luck!

If I could buy in Ocean Shores right now, I would. I think a vacation home is the ideal way to purchase out there! You get the use & enjoyment of a beach home in a great area, and you get the added benefit of the increased value of the home.

Of course, you always need to ask yourself --how long do you want to own, and how much and what kind of a return do want on your investment? Turn it in 10 years? Own it through most of your retirement, for a nest egg? Then sell or hand down in the family?

I do believe they are planning on an asssessment of some sort --roads, wastewater, something--to come up in the future, so find out about that, so you will be able to plan for that expense. But that is also a sign of improvements in the area, which will increase property values even more!

Any good sandy beach area with some base of employment, some amusements, and some sunshine, is usually a good investment!

Best wishes, and let me know if I can help!

Hi Mike. Ocean Shores is by far the best buy on Washington's Coast. Check out the article Coastal Living just did on Ocean Shores at http://www.cityofoceanshores.com. Let me know if you have any other questions.
