I have lived in Northern Kentucky most of my life and know the area extremely well, especially Boone County and the community, currently residing in Rabbit Hash/Union area. It will depend on whether you're looking for a home in the city or in a semi-rural or rural area. Boone County is very diversified. There are many fine homes in the area, the semi and rural areas being a little lower in price due to location. By semi-rural, I mean cities such as Burlington, Union, Hebron, parts of Florence, Richwood, all of which are very, very close to the airport, but far enough away from the noise. The school system here in Boone County varies, and I would be happy to talk with you about that a little more in detail.
Would you be interested in some of the foreclosed homes? I recently sold a foreclosed home at $215,000 that had appraised at $425,000. I have one particular in mind that is in the more rural area, about 25 minutes to the airport, but it does need cosmetics, e.g., paint and carpet, but it is a very large home with two furnaces, four bedrooms, etc., and the home directly across the road from it is priced $100,000 over the asking price on this particular home, so the value is there. Like I said, it needs some work. I also have a solid hand-hewn log home, 9 years old, located in a highly desirable log home neighborhood on the outskirts of Burlington on 1.9 acres ,a little smaller home, but so nice and quiet. Priced at $220,000, but the seller is highly motivated. There are just soooo many, it depends on what you're looking for, the number of bedrooms/baths, acreage or lot size, brick, log or vinyl? If it's out there, I will help you find it, especially in Boone County.
I have previous experience as a log home builder, new conventional construction, and have been actually licensed in listing and selling real estate since 2001. I work with some of the banks with foreclosed property. If you like, you can contact me at my e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Best of Luck.
I am a Northern Kentucky Real Estate expert broker with over 14 years experience. I would be more than happy to assist you in your search and in selling your home in LaGrange, KY (if not currently listed). I have sold property in LaGrange (one recently on Prestwick) and know several areas in Northern Kentucky that meet your price range and your motivation levels.
Please feel free to contact me by email at Timothy.Osborn@Century21.com. I look forward to helping you. I recently was able to help a client obtain a property with an assessment value of $405,000 for a sale price of $335,000 that was in foreclosure in a highly desired neighborhood. There are still more values in Northern Kentucky out there and I would love the opportunity to help you find your next home.
The best thing to do would be to get a local realtor in the area to help you. You can start looking on realtor.com and you can check out areas on zipskinny.com and look at the city and county websites. Anyway if you like I can refer you to a top agent in that area through our national network when you are ready. But, if you are not really ready the "highly motivated sellers" are going to go ahead and make a deal with someone.
So get with a realtor or get a referral and start researching your areas.
