Just working with every day buyers and sellers..... I don't do REO or distressed property listings.

YES!! So far my numbers are looking great for 2008. I did in 3 months what I did an entire year in 2007! The media put a damper on things for awhile but it's picking up now. I'm in Pennsylvania and values have remained stable here. Thank goodness for that!

I am in the Sierra Nevadas of Calif. we have really had a strong increase in buyer calls and sells for the past month. This first quarter has been the strongest I have had in at least 5 years! I am a listing agent and do work reo's as well as traditional sellers. I do not watch the news, and haven't for a few years, they never have anything uplifting to say so I cut it out as well as newspapers, I get all my info online or at night on biz reports if feel Im out of touch. It has really helped me stay happy and out of gloom an doom!
good luck out there!

Remember all real estate is local and the national media runs a year behind in it's statistics so, they were slow to report the downturn and they will be slow to report the bottom and the subsequent upturn. THe other thing is we are in the "Season" right now in the consumers eye. At times like this I am tempted to hire an assistant. My big draw back has always been "What can my assistant do for me without constant supervision?" That is a vexing point.

Good Luck up there.

I am actually thinking of hiring an assistant for the first time in awhile. I am hectic right now. If I could just find some more time I could go after more business only I don't know how I could handle it until I bring on some help.

I'm had a record setting year in 2007 and off too a great start this year! Middle Tennessee never saw a slow down. The news has an agenda!

Yes indeed with the New FHA loans and a Loan officer that understands how to utilize the new guidelines, we have a record amount of pre-quals and accepted offers.

I just hope these loan limits are extended past December.

Hi Martin,

Not a record month, yet, but I have definitely seen a sharp increase in phone calls. Each month it seems we are working with more buyers that are getting off the fence and purchasing homes!

Congrats to you and keep it up!
