Robert J. Vi…, Both Buyer and Seller in Bergen County, NJ

Hudson, Bergen, & Union Counties in New Jersey

Asked by Robert J. Vilchez, Bergen County, NJ Fri Jun 13, 2008

I'm looking for a home with at least 3 bedrooms 2 full baths within walking distance to NYC public trans. A fireplace and finished basement is a huge plus. I'd like something that i'll be able live in with some roommates and sell in about 5 years for a nice profit. I like the Blvd east area in Hudson County, but am open to Bergen, Union, and Essex counties too. My budget is approx 250K - 400K. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance- Rob

Robert with inflation and the going ons in the real estate & mortgage markets their are no guarantees of making a "nice profit" unless your willing to improve a property. You may want to rehabilitate a property to increase your chances of a "nice profit"

If you're not ready to begin a relationship with a real estate professional, I would suggest shopping around online at sites like trulia or realtor.com to get a feeling of what other qualities you prefer in your home. As Corey, stated, there are several opportunties to rehab foreclosure properties or many other properties to improve value to your investment. All the counties you mentioned have areas that have easy access to NYC public transportation. Let me know if you'd like more information, especially on foreclosure opportunities. My office handles hundreds of foreclosure sales and there are ample financing opportunites available as well to help with renovation/rehabilitation expenses. Purchasing a home now and "improving" the property will in time increase its value.
