Are there any single-story condo's available in the Charlottle area?

I'm considering retiring in the Charlotte area and a single story condo would be ideal.

I believe you are asking if there are one level living condos or townhouses in Charlotte, with entrance from the ground level, and no levels above it containing other dwellings. The answer is "yes". I would be glad to send some to you and let you take a look on line. If you would like to do so, please send me an email at gmarks@cbunited.com No obligation, but if you would like a reputable Realtor... experienced.. I am here for you.

I can't seem to find any one level condos online for rent. My mother is moving here from Ohio and she has MS so she will need a one level condo with a garage attached. Could you send me a list of places available in south charlotte area? My husband and I currently live in Ballantyne and she would like to live in this area or close to it.

Hi Sharon,

Yes, an abundance of great single story condo/s and townhome options. Also plenty of garden style , patio home options available as well, some have more expensive HOA fee's depending on the community. I would be happy to send you the available inventory if needed. Also if your not opposed to south carolina , right over the charlotte border a very nice Bob Webb Carolina Lakes / Sun City might be worth looking into, SC offers the homestead act / retirement benefits and the property taxes are little lower. Feel free to contact me anytime Thanks Ryan 704.608.4767 C/T or Ryanharlan1@gmail.com

What did you end up purchasing? Have you already sold your condo that you purchased?

Yes, as others have said there are single story condos as well as townhouses. Another option would be a patio home. With patio homes you have a single family home that is in a community with most of the features of a townhouse or condo, such as yard work done for you, club house/pool area. There are quite a few or these complexes. I just listed and now have a contract on a small single-story unit in the $100,000 range in south Charlotte. I also have another client who is looking for looking at both townhouses and patio homes in south Charlotte but in the $200,000 to $300,000 range. There are some very nice fourplex type units as well as The Cottages which is located in Pineville which is in the southern part of Mecklenburg County close to one of our big malls. Off of Rea Road in south Charlotte, there are quite a number of single story communities that are in the $100,000 to $200,000 range.

Please visit my website at http://www.RichProperties.net and you can search the entire MLS yourself. Please let me know how I can be of service to you.

Check out the various Epcon Communities developments in the greater Charlotte-area. Currently, there are 4 active communities in Tega Cay, Matthews, Northwest Charlotte and South Charlotte.

Sounds like you are looking for what is typically referred to as a "garden" style unit. And, yes! There are. You can even find a detached unit in several communities in Charlotte. This gives you the benefit of single-family living, with none of the hassles. Your homeowner's dues would cover exterior maintenance, including new roof, paint, and landscaping in most cases.

There are also single-floor units with ground floor access in a number of communities. Hope this information is helpful.

I am not sure I understand your question. However, I will attempt; There are condos in the Charlotte area with a single story yet located within a building of multiple stories. Then there are ranch-like 1.5 story, Townhomes with the master bedroom down and possibly a bonus or alternate bedrooms above. I hope this helps! You may shop specifics at my site http://www.homesweetcharlottehome.com click the home search tool. All the Best!
