felt it was a good buy. Completely furnished and less than two years old in the Grandezza community. I look on Zillow everyday and see that is goes down in value daily...what's up

My advice is, don't bother with Zillow. It is the most inaccurate information on the web. Rather, contact a Licensed Realtor in the Estero, Fort Myers area who could give you solid comparables and correct information. Just look at your neighbors to the right of you at Miramar lakes. People are still scrambling to get in there and in your neighborhood. Though almost every household in Southwest florida, has seen a dip in housing prices, the housing market will bounce back soon and Grandezza along with Miramar Lakes still remain the premier locations in our area.

Harriet,

Grandezza is a really nice community. While prices have adjusted in a downward fashion at this point remember that historically real estate is a market just like everything else that is bought and sold. Right now we are in a downward adjustment - the market will go back up - it's just going to take time - Estero is a hot bed of new development and it's vicinity to the airport and malls make it a great location !!!

Harriet.....you are in a fantastic location and in a nice community. You will be fine in this location. Always use a buyers agent to show you all of the property in the area that fits your criteria. This will allow you to see all of the best deals as a buyers rep should know the area inside and out and know of the deals that are not available through resale and the MLS. If you did not know.....it does not cost you any money at all to use a buyers agent. Take advantage of the local professionals and use their expertise to your advantage.

Hi Harriet,

Yes, unfortunately the market here is still showing signs of decline. I hope you bought your condo to enjoy the great lifestyle here. Hang in, the market will eventually improve and in the long term, you should do ok.

Thanks to everyone for their insight. I know it wasn't the greatest time to buy but after looking for a while this really suited us in everything we wanted and we are at the age if we don't do it now we probably never will. We hope to keep this in our family and enjoy it as a 2nd home for years to come.
