Alvy, Home Buyer in Wantagh, NY

We are finally shopping for a mortgage

Asked by Alvy, Wantagh, NY Tue Jan 20, 2009

Is there a place to see what the interest rates were a month/week ago to compare if they went up or down? I know they shot up last Friday but went down a little today. I know about mortgage101.com but don't see where I can compare past rates.

I found this website http://mortgage-x.com/general/historical_rates.asp
it has a graph of the mortgage rates from 1991 to Dec 2008

Alvy, Here is a place in my opinion you can find lots of info on interests rates, housing price index ect..
It is the Federal Housing Finance Agency site. Think you ought to give it a look, lots of information...
