How many homes sold in pennsylvania in 2007?

Asked by Ron Winward, Philadelphia, PA Sat Mar 22, 2008

Hi...I'm trying to find out how many homes sold in the state of Pennsylvania in the year 2007. I'd like to get this information broken down by county. Any thoughts as to where this info could be found?

National Assoc. of Realtors has a section devoted specifically to research where existing home sales for 2007 are broken down by state. It can be found on their website at http://www.realtor.org. Our local MLS Service, Trend, provides the Economic & Market Watch Reports for the surrounding 6 counties broken down by quarter. Hope this helps!

Lancaster Co. shows 5,750 closed homes in 2007, according to our MLS

Lebanon Co. shows 1,505 closed homes in 2007, according to our MLS

I hope that helps!

I think you would have an easier time if you could look at a region, say 4 or 5 counties. Is there a reason you need the whole state? (or should I say Commonwealth, lol)

If you want info for Southeastern PA counties, let me know...that is easy to get from Trend...
