Used Arbor View homes in Kaiser Wood area (Further up Bethany Blvd)

Asked by Hari, Beaverton, OR Tue Mar 18, 2008

I'm seriously considering buying single family detatched (3 Bed room 2.5 Bath) used home built by Arbor (Arbor View) in Kaiser wood area ( further up Bethany Blvd) These are built in 1998 - 99. Will this be a good buy ? What about re-sale in a couple of years ? I'm a first time home buyer

I used to own homes there. And I run ArborViewhomes.com. This is a great location. The schools are awesome and taxes are low. It is also the lowest price area in a Premium Location. Having said all of that there is a lot for sale there. So you need comps and need to get a deal right now and I think you can. Things have been picking up and this is the perfect time to strike.

The home over 5 years will certainly go up. Sooner than that I would not expect too much.

If you want a great deal give me a call. We can provide sold comps, research, and daily reports of all the best homes in Arborview.

Call me at 503-799-8383 to discuss and you will want to know about our buyer brokerage that an save you a ton!

Hari, The home in Kaiser Woods might be a good buy It depends on several things: 1) Condition of the home, does it need a lot of updating? Items like carpet, vinyl flooring, laminate floors, appliances paint inside or out. 2) Location of this subdivision is good as you're close to Hwy 26, shopping, dining, great schools. 3) A good buy could also be determined by how long the home has been on the market. The longer it has been on the market is a great indicator of overpricing. Market value is what a reasonable buyer is willing to pay and what a reasonable seller is willing to sell for. Anytime you get out of renting and paying someone else's mortgage and start building equity for yourself you'll be a step ahead.
