PMI (Property Management, Inc.) has been in the management business for many years and is a great source to start with. I think the rest of the responses you received from the other Trulia members are also very helpful. Best of luck!

Dear Lynn,
What I hear you asking is, "Where do I find someone with experience and a selection of properties?" Whether you are looking for a property in CampHill or elsewhere, there are some common sites for finding a property manager. Do your homework and don't just take the first name you hear, because all property managers are not created (or developed) equally. (That's the same in any profession the world over, isn't it??)
#1- Check the local newspaper. Yes, I know that many people use the net, but most agencies are still advertising locally as well--both on paper and at the newspaper's online site.
#2- Call several Real Estate sales offices in the area and ask! Some real estate offices have a property management department, and some do not. Most will be glad to give you the name of an experienced property management professional who has a reputation for doing a good job.
#3- Do you know anyone in Camp Hill ? Family? Job related? Chamber of Commerce? Ask for a referral from the locals!
#4- Take a look at 'craigslist' for the Harrisburg area- that is the closest for Camp Hill. It takes a bit of time, and make sure that you scan the listings for the last several days. You might just find something that fits you, but that list is still sketchy.
#5- You indicate that you are a buyer and seller now, in Sumter:: ask your local real estate agent--(I am assuming that you have one with whom you have built a relationship.) They might have a professional link in the area to which you are moving, and can help you make a connection.
**Finally, Take a look at the information you have compiled and see what names come up more than once. At the least, you will know that they have been on the job long enough to get their name out there,(experience) and likely have access to more than the average number of properties (selection)
Hope that was helpful .
:) Happy Hunting!
