If you re working with a real-estate professional, they should have offered you this service without question. If you arenot and you would like information about a particular neighborhood, contact me and I can do a personal report helping you compare apples to apples. While those free websites and web software applications can give you an idea, I wouldn't bet my acutual offer price on it.

There is a free site for all NJ counties that you can find if you google search for it. You can look up a county and town and dowload the sales histories. Sales hit within weeks of the sale closing.

Look up a Title Company in your local yellow pages. Ask for customer service and they can send you comps for FREE!

While Zillow and Trulia can provide some public data, it is not updated iin real time. Realtors have access to more timely data.

Hi Kan,

Closed sales available on the Internet run at least 3 months behind, but you can get them here on Trulia and on zillow.com, among several sites.

For more current data, an agent can provide it hot off the presses from the MLS system. If you have specific addresses I'll look them up, or if you just want a list of everything that closed recently, contact me via my website. Good luck!

Hi Kan,
If you are asking about a specific property in JC, any agent with access to the MLS (that's just about all of us) can tell you the sales history. If you're looking for general information about the Jersey City market, you can take a look at my blog (link below). While it mainly focuses on Hoboken, there are several articles on downtown Jersey City. Keep in mind that what you read in the press about suburban New Jersey does not really apply to our still quite healthy Hoboken, Jersey City, and most of Bergen County markets. If you have a question about a specific building in JC, let me know and perhaps I can help you further.
Thanks & good luck!

Good Morning,

Recent sales in Jersey City can be found through a local real estate agent' search in the multiple listing service in the area you need the saes from, also from tax records at the county, but the real estate agent 's mls has most recent before they are recorded at the county level. Good luck!
