The downside (relative of course) is that these are older homes and some designs (contemporary mainly) do not have wide market appeal. Many of the homes have been updated in various ways, some still need that and are appropriately priced. This is a development offering good value, excellent location and the opportunity (if desired) to buy a home for a decent price and put your stamp on it.
If there's anythign specific that I can help you with, drop me an email.

If you grade Rivermont on a scale compared to all other country club communities in the Atlanta area it would rank low. This is not to say it's not located in a nice area with good schools, but there are some fantastic country club communities here in Atlanta.
I used to work in the golf industry and know this subject matter very well. As Hank mentioned your choice of home style is very limited to contemporary design and resale is not that good for this type construction.
If you are interested in researching golf communities I would be happy to assist you. There are many options for you to choose from depending on your price point.
