I'm including a link below to an article about how to choose the best home stager.
I am a local Realtor(r) who is also an Accredited Staging Professional. I provide a free staging consultation and action plan report to all my listed sellers. My focus is primarily on getting my listings S-O-L-D. The consultation and action plan are created to determine what can be done to showcase the home and existing furnishings in the best circumstances. The primary focus is to de-personalize, de-clutter, remove excess furnishings and re-arrange belongings to draw attention to the home's best attributes. In some situations it's necessary to bring in hired furniture, but I do try to avoid that if possible. If you're interested in knowing more about my services, please contact me at VNagy@EmpireRA.com or call (925) 407-7987. Hope to hear from you soon.
As my colleagues stated, a stager with an "ASP" designation means they are an "Accredited Staging Professional. As an ASP myself, I can tell you from experience that we spend 3 very intensive days learning about staging and the ethics that go along with entering someone's home.
You can check with your Realtor to see who they use. You can also go to stagedhomes.com to locate a stager in your area. I would strongly recommend actually going to some stager's websites to see their work. Having the ASP designation is not a guarantee that they're talented and are good at what they do.
