The Cupertino area has the most sought- after schools; the City of Campbell and San Jose (Moreland School Dist.) is also another prime example of sought-after school districts. My website has a link to community stats within Santa Clara County which may help. I must also tell you that the districts in Santa Clara County do not always "run true" to location. I have also experienced several choices of schools within a neighborhood , depending on enrollment numbers. Another good site is the Santa Clara County Office of Education at http://www.sccoe.org This is a great site for school district boundaries. I hope this helps you.

Check out schoolperformancemaps.com/ca/ to see school performance displayed geographically (the web reference below will start you with a map centered on San Jose and showing elementary schools). As others have noted, this doesn't tell you whether a nearby house will go to a particular school. For Santa Clara County, use the school district locator to determine which district a house is in . And then you'll still need to go to the district's site to determine which schools' attendance area a particular house is in (some have maps, some have lookup databases, some have both). Good luck!

More Links to school information Web sites:

Star Testing Results: http://star.cde.ca.gov/

Academic Performance index for California Schools: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/ap/

California Department of Education: http://www.cde.ca.gov/index.asp

California Department of Education Statistics: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ds/

These are gov sites, not commercial or Realtor sites. The gov sites are the primary source for the information that is reformatted for the commercial sites. School boundaries can change year to year due to enrollment and budget needs, so even if a house is identified as "kids from here go to Genius Jr. High" the boundary can be redrawn before you move in and your kids get sent to "Short Attention Span Middle School" instead.
Neither you, the agent, nor the seller can guarantee the school.

Use the following we address http://www.andreaandterry.com Once there find the schools and community section. There you can research schools by city or zip codes in the areas you are interested in. I work in Sacramento so I can't be of much help in San Jose. If you need a referral in the area let me know. Good luck
