I believe those 50 high lines transport power from the GA Power sub-station at the end of Cherokee Ave up North - they don't actually connect to the poles providing power to the homes in this residential area.
Like I said, I live on Grant Street and am very involved in the Neighborhood and at the NPU level.
We are planning our Spring Fling in the Park later this month - see my web-site below for a link to the details - Ramiro Garcia http://www.DweLLintown.com or http://www.GrantParkExpert.com
A GREAT Realtor can help you sift through the selling history of the homes near these detractions as well as homes in the area that were not located by a detraction to see what the impact has been. Check out our 25 Resale Problems BUYERS should consider before buying, inthe link below.
I've had a lot of luck getting in touch with a gal at Georgia Power to answer my questions. I strongly suggest you make the contact to get your questions answered. I know that Georgia Power has done a lot of work in the area to bring the service up to date and are looking to do mass plantings around the area to cut down on noise (if any) and add a bit of beautification to a necessary project.
Sorry I can't offer any more . . .
You actually just heard from a GREAT Intown Atlanta agent, Hunter with Keller Williams Realty Intown Atlanta. His advice is so sound that it makes me wonder even more about your insatiably curious situation. His advice is as good as you will receive from anyone who is not a Georgia Power expert.
The fact that you get great free advice here at Trulia Voices is unquestionable, but, you selected one of Atlanta's 36,000 real estate agents to be your fiduciary, and it's not Hunter, or me, or anyone else who knows the Grant Park market here at Trulia Voices.
You don't come to Trulia Voices to get your Buyer Broker's advice, do you?
Who is advising you when you aren't here amongst the talent at Trulia Voices?
Who is advising you when you write your earnest money check?
Who is advising you during your due diligence period?
Who is helping you make an informed decision, aside from us free advisors?
You are a smart guy, and you are smarter for coming here.
