okay, i don't think 1524 san ponte is the house i'm after then. the one that's got me on the hunt IS FORCLOSED and is being listed under $400k. i got the info from a site that requires a 'sign up fee' for address disclosure.

The property was listed as a short sale....looks like the owners have gone, sign removed and the agents lockbox is all that's left of another unsuccessful short sale or, there is a slight possibility that someone was successful in acquiring it.....It has been in back up status for nearly 2 months and the seller had not missed a payment at that point so????. The notice of default was filed on Dec 16 2007 so, if it has simply been abandoned, it will be a little while longer before the process of foreclosure is completed. From the NOD date, it is typically 90+ days before you will see as a Bank Owned home. Washington Mutual is the lender. Not sure if they are one that has now issued a voluntary 30 day moratorium on foreclosures. If so, it may be even longer..........

thanks for the reply. i'm interested in a 'mystery property' that has supposedly foreclosed. it's on San Ponte, just past San Viscaya as you head toward San Almada. i found the listing on a website but the address was not disclosed. apparently the 1524 San Ponte house is not the one since you state it was originally listed @ 500k. i drove up and down the street and that was the only property that had a lock box out front w/no FS sign.

It appears that it was listed at $500,000 and is currently in "back up" status (in escrow). Let me know if there is any other info I can get for you. I live in the area off of Green River myself, and $500,000 was a pretty good price for a home up on the hill up there. It was a "short sale" so we'll have to wait and see what the bank has decided to take on it. Have a great day.
