I typically alert my seller clients by phone just as soon as I learn that an offer may be presented or once one is received by my office. Then, I schedule an appointment to meet with them to go over the offer in-person or, in some cases, I fax the offer over to their office or home and we discuss it over the phone. In some cases, there may be multiple offers coming in. In such instances, with my seller's consent, I notify all bidders of such fact and specify a time that we will present all of the offers. This allows my seller client time to review & consider each offer as well as solicit highest & best offers from all bidders.
Did you present an offer and have not heard anything back from the seller's Realtor? Do you have a buyer's agent representing you and you alone in the transaction? Did your offer contain a time limit? Regardless, I wish you the best of luck obtaining a prompt answer on your offer.
Presentation of the offer could be in any form: Via fax, in person, via telephone, post or e-mail. You may not even receive a reply to your offer. A seller has no legal obligation to respond to an offer.
