My tag line is "Let me Hunt for your dream home and Sell your previous one." My web site is huntandsellaustin.com...but I like the little hunting idea. For those of you who answered lots of cards...yes, I am aware of that. I was thinking more along the lines of what I did at the TAR Convention recently...I attached bitesize Snicker bars and had a card that said "Referrals are nothing to SNICKER about...send them to me!" Worked well! Just wanted other ideas.

Kathy, Great "catch" phrase! LOL. Good idea. HUNTing for the perfect agent. HUNTing for your dream home. you could do a lot with that alone. There are many things she could do. I gave you a thumbs up.

ALL the other ideas are fantastic and I do them all. Just another thought, seeing that your last name is "HUNT", have you ever thought of adding a little name association when you hand your card out? Anytime I am going to be marketing myself or seeing others from out of my area/state, I try to "help" them remember my last name (Fisher) by giving them a little fishing memento to go along with my card. My moto writen on my cards is, "KAThy FISHer, your WISE catch for all your real estate needs." I live in Wise County Texas.
Just a thought. HAVE FUN and great SELLing.

Lisa, you do not have any personal information in yet. Who do you work with and where is your convention. Just curious! We, Keller Williams, are having our yearly convention in Atlanta starting this weekend! I can't wait. Bring business cards, talk to everyone! Good Luck!

Tom, I would love to meet you and any other KW agent attending family reunion! Maybe we could meet somewhere before the red bash! Have a Trulia/KW agent event...I guess that will be another post!

I have always picked up little CD business cards. They are not very expensive if you do them yourself. You can point people to your site, talk about yourself or point them to video on you tube.

I agree with Carrie. The HUNTing for the perfect home is cute. I play on my name too: BETINA is your best BET in Austin Real Estate.
Cheesy but easy to remember!

I think I’m seeing a creative correlation between the men and women here? Guys use cards and girls use candy? Ladies, you are surely sweet enough? I personally joined a successful team of over achievers and we send our fearless leader to speak at conventions. That seems to work for us!

Hi Lisa,

The best way is to just meet people, take their cards and stay in touch with them via email. Agents refer to people they know and have confidence that when they send a referral, that their client or customer will be in good hands and that the deal will close.

I send out lots of referrals and if no one comes to mind in a specific area, I go to the CRS directory.

Hi Lisa,

I am attending a company wide Family Reunion in Atlanta all this weekend. This is a great referral event. I start by having ALOT of business cards (at least 100). Some promotional information flyers (maybe even some listing flyers) and a notepad I keep at all times to write down information on anyone I meet. I find the top producers and take them to lunch/ dinner and get as much info as I can. Then when I get back I enter them into Top Producer and make sure to follow up regularly.

Dress for success (no matter what anyone else does). Mingle, smile, attend all of the events and make sure people remeber you.

I hope this helps some. I like to think I am a networking pro. I teach classes on the subject. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.
